Roy Keane once ended up sprawled out on the street laying on a bed of glass after being chucked through a bar window.
The Manchester United recalled the story, which he joked was like being in the ‘wild west’, occurred in Nottingham shortly after his City Ground exit in 1993.

Keane admitted he was partial for a drink or two during his youth, which resulted in one dramatic night out.
Speaking on the latest episode of Sky Bet’s Stick to Football, the panel were playing a game of ‘MythBusters’, with Keane asked by Gary Neville whether it’s true he was barred from ex-Forest defender Larry Lloyd’s ‘The Stage Door’ bar.
The bar later became the venue for Forest’s Christmas parties, with Lloyd revealing to the the Independent in 2008 that he sent Keane packing after he had one too many drinks.
He said: “Let’s just say I thought Roy was being a bit naughty. I asked him to leave. He gave me some lip.
“I had a word with his captain, Stuart Pearce, and asked him to get Roy to leave. Stuart said, ‘He’s no harm’. So I chucked all of them out.”
But Keane has stressed there is no truth in that particular rumour, but did recall a wild night in Nottingham which saw him end up on his back in the street.
The Irishman remarked: “I got thrown through a bar window at Nottingham!
“I was in a wine bar one night, and I had just come to United, and I remember I went back to Forest to check on my house.

“The reserves were playing, but I had a sneaky night out, and I used to go drink when I was a Forest player.
“A couple of idiots in there, the usual stuff, particularly bouncers! I used to drink the wine from the bottle, I wouldn’t have the glass – it was cheap wine – like £6.
“I was with a few lads and a few words were said, and this guy threw me out the window.
“I went through the window and a door, I landed out in the street, glass everywhere, it was like the wild west!”
Before adding: “I was on the floor, but I still had the bottle of wine in my hand! Glass everywhere!”
His comment sent colleagues Neville, Wayne Rooney and Ian Wright into fits of laughter, with Keane again making it clear he did not step foot inside ‘The Stage Door’.
He stated: “Not that pub [Larry Lloyd’s] – this was a different bar. I was never barred [from there]. I don’t think I ever set foot in that place.”
