Everton striker Neal Maupay has been up to his old tricks after subtly mocking England following their latest European Championship woe.
The Three Lions’ 2-1 defeat to Spain in Berlin on Sunday was their second successive final loss in the major tournament.

After Cole Palmer had expertly equalised for England in the 73rd minute, fans were dreaming of another fairy tale comeback to end 58 years of hurt.
But they fell to an 86th minute winner from Real Sociedad forward Mikel Oyarzabal to leave England‘s stars and fans in tears.
And Maupay– the Premier League’s favourite pantomime villain – was quick to rub salt in the wounds of supporters on social media.
In a social media post that has been viewed more than 4.4 million times, he shared a Love Island meme to troll fans.
Taking to X, the 27-year-old uploaded a picture of 2023 contestant Tyrique, who could be seen with a huge grin on his face, despite saying: “Nah, I’m very sad, trust me.”
Maupay then mocked England even further after replying to the Football Ramble podcast, who simply said: “Not now, Neal.”
This time, he used an iconic scene from reality court show Judge Rinder, where a woman got the giggles during an apology to a friend.
It’s not the first time that Maupay has attempted to wind up England fans during Euro 2024, as he teased supporters following the Group C draw with Denmark last month.

But while Maupay may be taking joy in England’s heartache, one Three Lions star holds a dear place in his heart.
Speaking to talkSPORT last week, the former Brentford forward revealed that his son is named after semi-final hero Ollie Watkins.
Commenting on the player after his dramatic winner over the Netherlands, he said: “I played with him, Ollie’s my friend.
“Honestly, top goal from him, a proper striker’s goal, you know. Touch and finish. So I’m very happy for him.
“I have a story for you. I named my son after Ollie Watkins.
“When I first met him about eight years ago at Brentford, I loved the name and I said if I have a son one day, I’ll call him Ollie and I called him Ollie.
“Actually I spoke with him last week to let him know.”
